If I can't verify it, or if it's past statute of limitations, or if there are FDCPA violations in your collection attempts — we'll have a different conversation.
I'm not judgment-proof. I'm not hiding assets. I'm also not going to pay a debt I don't owe or can't verify.
I'm a working professional with real responsibilities. Garnishing my wages hurts my kids. I'd rather work something out.
But I've been through enough to know the difference between legitimate collection and harassment. Don't test me on the latter.
